Our Mission

Yggdrasil Sailing Blog is a platform where we document our family’s journey around the world. Our mission is to explore the world’s oceans while promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. We believe that the ocean is a precious resource that needs to be protected and preserved for future generations. Our blog features stories, pictures, and videos of our sailing adventures, as well as tips and advice for fellow sailors and ocean lovers.

Our Story

We are a family of five who embark on a journey of a lifetime. We believe that life is meant to be lived to the fullest, and there's no better way to do that than to explore the world and experience new cultures. Our love for sailing and the ocean has led us to create this blog, where we share our experiences and inspire others to follow their dreams. We provide insights and tips to help fellow sailors plan their own adventures, and we promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices to protect our oceans.

Why Yggdrasil

Yggdrasil, the World Tree in Norse mythology, can be seen as a powerful symbol for sustainability. Just as Yggdrasil supports and connects all life within the mythological cosmos, sustainability aims to create systems that support and connect different aspects of our world in a balanced and enduring way.

In modern terms the symbol of Yggdrasil represents our commitment to sustainability. We strive to be like the World Tree, creating a stable base for growth that is environmentally sound, socially responsible, and economically viable.

Thus, Yggdrasil serves as a metaphor for the interconnectedness of all things and the balance needed to maintain the health of our planet, society, and economy. It reminds us that just as the health of Yggdrasil was vital to the well-being of the Nine Worlds, so too is our commitment to sustainability crucial for the future of our own world.
